Offered through Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against Keratin 7 and is supplied as an unconjugated, affinity-purified IgG preparation. The reagent is provided at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a phosphate buffered saline formulation (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is available in a 50 µL pack size. It was produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide derived from human Keratin 7, after which the antiserum was affinity-chromatography purified using the epitope-specific immunogen, ensuring recognition of endogenous levels of total Keratin 7 protein. The antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), making it suitable for a broad range of cell and tissue-based assays, and its reactivity is confirmed for human samples. For routine handling the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. As a research-use-only reagent, it is intended for laboratory investigation of keratin intermediate filament expression rather than diagnostic or therapeutic applications, and the polyclonal nature of the reagent provides multiple epitope coverage of the Keratin 7 target.
