This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against KDM5A (Lysine Demethylase 5A), a JmjC-domain histone demethylase that catalyzes removal of tri- and dimethyl groups from histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4me3/me2). Also known as JARID1A and RBP2, KDM5A operates within chromatin-modifying complexes that repress transcription of lineage-specific and tumor-suppressor genes, and it has been investigated in studies of breast and lung cancer biology, drug resistance, and stem-cell regulation.

Validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples, the antibody is delivered as a 100 µl liquid aliquot of unconjugated rabbit IgG. It supports detection of endogenous KDM5A in chromatin fractionation experiments, immunoprecipitation workflows when paired with appropriate controls, and immunostaining of fixed tissue sections where nuclear localization of the target is preserved.

Because KDM5A expression is frequently altered in solid tumors, the reagent is used by laboratories profiling demethylase occupancy and H3K4 methylation state across disease models. Researchers should titrate the antibody for their particular sample preparation; HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies appropriate for rabbit IgG are recommended for downstream detection.
