KDM4D is a Jumonji C domain-containing histone demethylase that catalyzes the removal of methyl groups from H3K9me3/me2 and H3K36me3/me2, linking chromatin state to active transcription programs and to the cellular response to DNA damage. The protein, also known as JMJD2D, is studied in the context of spermatogenesis, osteogenesis, and tumor biology, where its dysregulation has been tied to altered proliferation and chromatin remodeling.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antibody and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, supporting chromatin biology, cancer epigenetics, and DNA damage response projects in which endogenous KDM4D expression must be visualized in whole-cell lysates or in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue.

The polyclonal host background provides broad epitope coverage for detection of the native protein, and the unconjugated format leaves fluorophore or enzyme choice to the end user for immunofluorescence, chromogenic IHC, or standard immunoblotting workflows. Because the antibody recognizes KDM4D rather than the closely related KDM4A/B/C family members, it is well suited to studies that need to discriminate this specific paralog in human cells and tissues.

For best results, aliquot upon first use, store refrigerated at 4°C, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity over the working shelf life.
