Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent targets the KCNQ1 voltage-gated potassium channel (also known as Kv7.1) and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. KCNQ1 assembles with auxiliary KCNE subunits to drive the slow delayed rectifier current (I_Ks) in cardiac myocytes and contributes to transepithelial potassium recycling in the inner ear as well as to chloride-coupled transport in renal and intestinal epithelia, making the antibody a useful reagent for studies of cardiac repolarization, inherited channelopathies such as Romano-Ward and Jervell-Lange-Nielsen syndromes, and epithelial ion handling.

Each vial from Antibodies.com contains 100 µL of antiserum, supplied unconjugated so it can be paired with the detection label of the researcher's choice. Polyclonal reactivity across the three listed species broadens tissue coverage for comparative work between murine disease models and human specimens, and the unconjugated format supports both chromogenic IHC on fixed sections and chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western blot detection of the full-length channel protein.
