This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets KCNN4, the gene that encodes the KCa3.1 calcium-activated potassium channel, also referred to in the literature as SK4 or IKCa1. KCNN4 mediates calcium-dependent potassium efflux and is studied in lymphocyte signaling, vascular endothelial biology, smooth muscle contractility, and ion channel remodeling in several cancer models.

Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, the reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications on human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers use it to detect KCa3.1 in activated T cells, to localize channel distribution in glioblastoma, breast carcinoma, and colorectal tissue sections, and to probe channel upregulation in inflamed endothelium. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes along the target, which supports strong signal in both denatured western blot membranes and fixed immunofluorescence specimens.

Store refrigerated; aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity across long-term studies. The host species is rabbit, allowing straightforward pairing with standard anti-rabbit secondary reagents for chromogenic, chemiluminescent, or fluorescent detection workflows.
