The KCNK15 gene encodes a two-pore domain potassium channel protein, also known as TASK-5, that contributes to background K+ conductance in neurons of the central nervous system. This Rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against KCNK15 and is validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows using human samples. The unconjugated reagent is supplied in a 100 µl vial format.

For optimal stability, aliquot the antibody upon arrival and store at -20°C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light to maintain binding activity. As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on the KCNK15 channel, which can improve signal detection in both denatured lysates and fixed tissue sections. Working dilutions should be optimized empirically for each application and sample type.

TASK-family channels, including KCNK15, have attracted interest in neuroscience research for their roles in acid sensing, volatile anesthetic modulation, and the regulation of membrane excitability. The reagent is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
