KCNJ9 (also known as GIRK3 or Kir3.3) is an inward-rectifier potassium channel belonging to the G-protein-coupled inwardly rectifying potassium (GIRK) channel family. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and targets a conserved region of the KCNJ9 protein for detection by Western blot. The antibody is supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG, validated for reactivity against mouse and rat samples.

Because KCNJ9 typically assembles into heterotetrameric complexes with KCNJ3 (GIRK1) and KCNJ6 (GIRK2) in central neurons, this reagent is commonly used to study dopaminergic reward circuits, opioid and GABA-B receptor coupling, and modulation of neuronal excitability. Researchers working on addiction models, pain pathways, or signaling downstream of Gi/o-coupled GPCRs apply this reagent alongside GIRK1 and GIRK2 probes to map channel subunit composition by Western blot.

The antibody is provided as a liquid aliquot in a single vial, unconjugated to allow flexibility with HRP, fluorescent, or biotin secondary labeling depending on the western blot protocol.
