The Antibodies.com anti-KCNJ8 polyclonal reagent is a rabbit-derived IgG antibody raised against the KCNJ8 (Kir6.1) inward-rectifier potassium channel subunit, supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum validated for Western Blot detection on human samples.

KCNJ8 encodes Kir6.1, which assembles with sulfonylurea receptor partners (SUR2A and SUR2B) to form ATP-sensitive K⁺ channels that shape vascular smooth muscle tone and metabolic coupling in cardiac and skeletal muscle. Laboratories investigating K_ATP channel subunit composition, vascular electrophysiology, or channelopathies linked to this gene use the reagent to probe endogenous Kir6.1 protein expression in cell and tissue lysates.

The product ships as a single vial of 100 µL, with clonality Polyclonal, host Rabbit, isotype IgG, conjugate Unconjugated, and reactivity Human. Storage at -20 °C is recommended, with the antibody kept in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; this reagent is intended for research use only.
