Raised in rabbit against the inward-rectifier potassium channel KCNJ4, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated antiserum validated for Western blot detection in mouse and rat samples. KCNJ4, also called Kir2.3, is a member of the Kir2.x family of strong inward-rectifier channels that stabilize the resting membrane potential of excitable cells and is expressed in neurons, cardiac tissue, and smooth muscle.

The antibody is provided in a single vial of liquid stock and should be stored refrigerated at 4°C for short-term use, or aliquoted and kept frozen at -20°C for longer-term stability, with brief freeze-thaw cycles tolerated. Researchers use it to probe endogenous Kir2.3 expression in mouse brain lysates, rat cardiomyocyte preparations, and heterologous expression systems, supporting studies of channel trafficking, assembly with auxiliary subunits, and disease-linked variants associated with cardiac arrhythmia and neurological phenotypes.
