Rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting KCNJ15, also referred to as Kir4.2, an inward-rectifier potassium channel encoded on chromosome 5q13. Supplied at 100 µl as an unconjugated IgG reagent validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. Reactivity is confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling cross-species comparative studies.

KCNJ15 contributes to potassium transport across epithelial membranes and is expressed in kidney, brain, and thyroid tissue. Published work has linked KCNJ15 genetic variation to type 2 diabetes susceptibility and to renal potassium handling, and antibodies of this class have been used in investigations of 5q13 microdeletion syndrome. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on the target protein, which supports detection of endogenous levels in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

Provided by Antibodies.com as a liquid aliquot, this primary antibody is intended for research use only. Recommended storage and handling conditions, along with application-specific titration guidance, are documented on the accompanying product datasheet.
