Raised in rabbit against KCNIP2, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com supports detection of KCNIP2 (also called KChIP2), a voltage-gated potassium channel regulatory subunit that modulates Kv4 family channels driving transient outward currents in cardiac myocytes and neurons. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged in a 100 µl vial sized for routine western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) work on human and mouse specimens.

KCNIP2 plays a documented role in cardiac action potential repolarization and has been investigated in the context of arrhythmia susceptibility, including Brugada syndrome and other cardiac conduction phenotypes. Its expression in both cardiac tissue and brain regions also makes the target relevant to neuroscience research on neuronal excitability and channel localization. The polyclonal format offers recognition of multiple epitopes on the KCNIP2 protein, supporting consistent band detection on immunoblots and clear staining patterns in formalin-fixed tissue sections when paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies.

For handling, store refrigerated and protect from light; aliquot if the vial will be used over an extended period to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the glycerol-containing buffer.
