Anti-KCND2 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody directed against KCND2 (also referred to as Kv4.2), a potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily D member, is supplied by Antibodies.com. The antibody is unconjugated, of the IgG isotype, and reacts with human and rat samples. It is provided as a liquid formulated in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide.

The immunogen used to generate the antibody is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 501–630 of human KCND2 (NP_036413.1). Following affinity purification, the reagent recognises a target with a reported molecular weight of 70 kDa. It has been validated for Western blot (WB) at recommended dilutions of 1:1,000–1:5,000. The product is shipped at 4 °C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

In a representative Western blot, the antibody was used at 1:3,000 on mouse heart lysate loaded at 25 µg per lane, with a goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) secondary antibody applied at 1:10,000. Blocking was performed in 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST, and detection was carried out with an ECL Basic Kit using a 60 second exposure.
