Anti-KCNC3 Antibody

Produced as a polyclonal reagent in rabbit and affinity-purified by antigen affinity chromatography, this unconjugated IgG preparation is supplied at 0.6 mg/mL in a 50 µl vial and validated for Western blot detection of endogenous KCNC3 in human, mouse, and rat samples. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the C-terminal of human Kv3.3, the Shaw-related voltage-gated potassium channel subunit encoded by KCNC3 on chromosome 19q13.3-q13.4. Kv3.3 supports rapid membrane repolarization during high-frequency action potential trains in cerebellar Purkinje cells and auditory brainstem nuclei, and missense mutations in the gene cause spinocerebellar ataxia type 13 (SCA13), a slowly progressive cerebellar degeneration with dysarthria and nystagmus.
