Raised in rabbit against a synthetic peptide derived from the human KCNC2 sequence, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets the Kv3.2 voltage-gated potassium channel, a Shaw-subfamily delayed-rectifier expressed predominantly in fast-spiking GABAergic interneurons of the central nervous system. The antibody is affinity-purified by antigen chromatography and supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot in PBS buffer containing 0.05% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Validated for Western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent recognizes endogenous levels of total KCNC2 protein and is well suited to probing membrane-enriched fractions or whole-cell lysates from neural tissue, where the Kv3.2 channel supports high-frequency firing and rapid action-potential repolarization. Upon arrival, aliquot the contents and store at -20°C for long-term stability; avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity. The reagent is shipped refrigerated on blue ice and remains stable in its glycerol-containing buffer. Investigators studying neuronal excitability, parvalbumin-positive interneuron function, or auditory brainstem circuitry will find this Kv3.2 antibody a useful reagent for characterizing channel expression in rodent and human nervous system samples.
