Anti-KAT5 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets KAT5 (K(lysine) acetyltransferase 5), a chromatin-associated acetyltransferase that catalyzes acetylation of histone H2A, H3, and H4 residues and plays a central role in the cellular response to genotoxic stress. KAT5, also referred to as TIP60, is recruited to DNA double-strand break sites where it cooperates with the ATM kinase to remodel local nucleosome structure and promote efficient repair through homologous recombination and non-homologous end joining pathways. Beyond DNA damage signaling, KAT5 participates in transcriptional regulation of genes involved in apoptosis, cell-cycle checkpoint control, and embryonic stem cell self-renewal.

Produced in rabbit hosts and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide (pH ~7.3), this reagent is validated for Western blot detection of the full-length ~60 kDa KAT5 protein in lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat cells and tissues.
