Raised in rabbits against the catalytic acetyltransferase KAT5 (also called TIP60), this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com supports studies of chromatin modification, transcription regulation, and the cellular response to genotoxic stress. KAT5 functions as the catalytic core of the NuA4 complex, where it acetylates histone H2A, H3, and H4, and it sits at the intersection of ATM/ATR signalling, p53 acetylation, and MYC-driven transcriptional programmes in proliferating cells. Because it is polyclonal, the antibody binds multiple epitopes on the target protein, which is useful when probing low-abundance antigens or capturing the full distribution of KAT5 isoforms across mixed lysates.

The unconjugated format gives laboratories flexibility to pair the reagent with their preferred detection chemistry: HRP-labelled secondaries for western blot, biotin-streptavidin systems for immunohistochemistry, or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries for immunofluorescence imaging. Reactivity is validated for human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling translational comparisons between patient-derived material and rodent models of chromatin biology, genotoxic stress, or oncogenesis. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of liquid antiserum; upon arrival, store the vial refrigerated, aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycling, and protect from light to preserve activity across the working shelf life.
