Kallistatin is a serine protease inhibitor (SERPINA4 family) that regulates tissue kallikrein activity and has been implicated in angiogenesis, inflammation, and vascular biology. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against human Kallistatin and supplied as 100 µl, supporting Western blot and ELISA workflows.
The reagent detects endogenous Kallistatin, a heparin-binding protein present in plasma and expressed in liver, kidney, and vascular tissues. Polyclonal reactivity broadens epitope coverage, which is useful when probing cleaved, processed, or differentially expressed forms of the target in signaling studies.
Researchers studying cardiovascular disease, fibrosis, and tumor angiogenesis use Kallistatin detection to characterize expression patterns and pathway activity. The unconjugated format allows flexible secondary labeling with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugates depending on the application.
