Anti-Junctophilin 2 Antibody

The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody recognizes Junctophilin 2 (JPH2), a structural protein of the junctional membrane complex that anchors the sarcoplasmic reticulum to the plasma membrane in striated muscle. JPH2 is essential for excitation-contraction coupling in cardiomyocytes and skeletal muscle fibers, and altered expression is implicated in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and heart failure. The antisera is supplied as 100 µg of liquid IgG in a vial, suitable for Western blot detection of the ~75 kDa endogenous band and for immunocytochemistry on differentiated muscle cells. It cross-reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat JPH2, enabling comparative studies across species. For best results, store at -20 °C in working aliquots and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.
