Phosphorylation at threonine 183 marks the catalytically active form of the c-Jun N-terminal kinase family, and this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit to detect JNK1, JNK2, and JNK3 only when that activation-loop residue is modified. Supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) with 15 mM sodium azide as preservative, the antibody is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. Reactivity is reported with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of stress-activated MAPK signaling in cell culture lysates and fixed tissue sections.

The phospho-T183 epitope is installed by the upstream MAP2Ks MKK4 and MKK7 in response to cytokines, UV irradiation, and osmotic shock, so detection of this site is widely used to track apoptotic and inflammatory cascades in basic research. The polyclonal format yields a pool of epitope-specific immunoglobulins that tolerate minor sequence variation around the modified threonine, improving recovery in denatured western blot membranes as well as formalin-fixed IHC specimens. The reagent is supplied unconjugated, leaving the antibody free for downstream labeling, capture, or paired-detection immunoassays. Refrigerate on receipt and protect from light to preserve activity across the product's shelf life; aliquot if larger numbers of small-volume withdrawals are expected and limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the original vial.
