This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets Jumonji domain-containing protein 6 (JMJD6), a bifunctional nuclear enzyme best characterized for its Fe(II) and 2-oxoglutarate-dependent lysine hydroxylase and arginine demethylase activities. JMJD6 also operates on histone and non-histone substrates and has been linked to transcriptional regulation, constitutive and alternative pre-mRNA splicing, and post-translational modification of the splicing factor U2AF65, making it a target of interest in studies of RNA processing, differentiation, hypoxia signaling, and tumor biology.

The unconjugated primary antibody is supplied as 100 µl of antisera and is validated across multiple experimental readouts. The reagent has been tested in western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and chromatin immunoprecipitation workflows, allowing researchers to detect endogenous JMJD6 in chromatin-bound, nuclear, and cytoplasmic fractions. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the target, which can improve tolerance to minor sample variation and support robust immunoprecipitation recovery.

Reactivity data indicate recognition of human, mouse, and rat JMJD6, supporting use in cell-line panels, primary cultures, and animal tissue sections. Routine laboratory workflows include detection of JMJD6 in HeLa and other mammalian cell lines, profiling of JMJD6 recruitment to gene promoters by ChIP, and tracking changes in JMJD6 levels under hypoxic or differentiation cues.

For storage and handling, the antibody should be kept refrigerated in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve activity; refer to the lot-specific data sheet shipped with the vial for buffer composition and recommended working dilutions for each application.
