Histone demethylase JARID1C, also known in the literature as KDM5C, is an X-linked chromatin regulator whose loss-of-function mutations cause X-linked intellectual disability (Claes-Jensen syndrome). This mouse monoclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com enables specific detection of the human JARID1C protein in research workflows probing H3K4me3 and H3K4me2 demethylation, neuronal gene regulation, and epigenetic remodelling.

Supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated antibody in a vial, the reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) on human samples. The mouse IgG host isotype pairs cleanly with standard anti-mouse secondary reagents, and the unconjugated format allows users to label the antibody with HRP, biotin, or a fluorophore of choice for chromogenic, chemiluminescent, or fluorescence imaging. Expected Western blot banding corresponds to the full-length JARID1C isoform at ~180 kDa, and immunocytochemistry shows nuclear staining consistent with the protein's association with chromatin-remodelling complexes.

Typical applications include probing whole-cell lysates from patient-derived lymphoblastoid lines, confirming nuclear localisation in cultured neurons or iPSC-derived cells, and validating CRISPR-edited models of X-linked intellectual disability. The antibody is supplied as a research use only reagent and should be handled according to standard IgG storage conditions, with aliquoting recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the stock.
