Anti-JAM-A Antibody

JAM-A (Junctional Adhesion Molecule-A) is a single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein in the immunoglobulin superfamily that concentrates at tight junctions of endothelial and epithelial cells, where it contributes to paracellular barrier integrity, leukocyte transmigration, platelet adhesion, and angiogenic sprouting. As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes across the JAM-A extracellular/luminal region, supporting detection of full-length protein in cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and recombinant preparations.

For Western blot, run samples under reducing conditions and transfer to PVDF or nitrocellulose; the mature glycoprotein typically migrates near 32-35 kDa. For ELISA, the reagent can be deployed as either capture or detection antibody depending on plate orientation. Mouse reactivity has not been established for this reagent.

Storage and handling: aliquot on arrival and freeze at -20°C for long-term stability; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by preparing single-use working aliquots. Brief storage at 4°C is appropriate for active working stocks only.
