This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody targets JAM-A (Junctional Adhesion Molecule-A), a transmembrane immunoglobulin superfamily glycoprotein also designated F11R or CD321. JAM-A concentrates at tight junctions of epithelial and endothelial cell monolayers and contributes to cell-cell adhesion, paracellular barrier function, leukocyte transmigration across endothelium, and platelet activation signaling. Researchers use this reagent to investigate tight junction assembly, endothelial permeability, inflammatory cell recruitment, and tumor cell extravasation in vascular biology, immunology, and oncology studies. The product is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit, unconjugated to support flexible secondary antibody detection, and is validated for Western blot and ELISA applications on human and rat samples. Store the vial refrigerated at 4°C, aliquot on first use, and minimize freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. Common uses include tracking JAM-A redistribution in cytokine-challenged endothelial monolayers, scratch-wound recovery assays, and comparative expression studies between normal epithelium and matched carcinoma samples. The reagent is part of the Antibodies.com collection of Primary Antibodies focused on tight junction proteins, adhesion molecules, and cell surface markers.
