Anti-JAK2 Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent targets JAK2 (Janus Kinase 2), a cytoplasmic non-receptor tyrosine kinase that couples cytokine receptors to STAT transcription factors. JAK2 is the gene most frequently mutated in BCR-ABL–negative myeloproliferative neoplasms, with the V617F gain-of-function substitution in the pseudokinase domain driving constitutive kinase activity in polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, and primary myelofibrosis. Research applications include mapping JAK-STAT pathway activation in haematopoietic lineages, profiling phospho-JAK2 in stimulated cell lysates, and validating CRISPR knock-out or knock-in models.

The polyclonal format means several B-cell clones contribute distinct epitope specificities, increasing tolerance for minor conformational changes in denatured or truncated target. Lyophilised antibodies tolerate ambient shipping; once reconstituted in sterile distilled water, aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles that erode binding affinity.
