Janus Kinase 1 (JAK1) is a cytoplasmic non-receptor tyrosine kinase that couples cell-surface cytokine receptors to the JAK-STAT signaling cascade, and Antibodies.com provides this rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against a region surrounding residue 1022 of the target protein.

The affinity-purified antibody is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated serum in a single-use vial and has been validated in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications across human, mouse, and rat samples. Because the immunogen maps to the C-terminal portion of JAK1, within the kinase domain, the reagent is well suited to studies of cytokine-driven phosphorylation, interferon and interleukin signaling, and downstream STAT activation in both immortalized cell lines and primary tissue sections.

The polyclonal format gives broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal alternative, which is useful when monitoring modulation of multiple JAK1 species or splice variants. For routine handling, the vial should be refrigerated; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and briefly centrifuge before opening to recover full volume.
