IYD (Iodotyrosine Deiodinase) is a key enzyme in thyroid hormone recycling that catalyzes the NADPH-dependent reductive deiodination of mono- and di-iodotyrosines, salvaging iodide for re-use in thyroid hormone biosynthesis. The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG in a 50 µl vial intended for Western blot detection of mouse IYD protein in tissue lysate and cell extract preparations.
This primary antibody targets iodotyrosine deiodinase (also known as DEHAL1) and has been validated for reactivity against mouse samples. Researchers working on iodide recycling pathways, thyroid metabolism, and related endocrine signaling can use this reagent to probe endogenous IYD expression under reducing SDS-PAGE conditions. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of secondary antibody and detection chemistry open, supporting standard chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western blot workflows. Storage at -20 °C in a frost-free freezer is recommended, and the reagent is intended for research use only.
