Raised in rabbit against the inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate 3-kinase B (ITPKB) enzyme, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, adjusted to approximately pH 7.2. The antibody recognizes the endogenous ITPKB protein (predicted molecular mass near 102 kDa) and is validated for western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative work across cell line panels and primary tissue lysates.

ITPKB phosphorylates inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) to inositol 1,3,4,5-tetrakisphosphate (IP4), placing it at a branch point in phosphoinositide turnover and intracellular calcium signaling. Because the kinase has documented roles in B-cell receptor pathway activity, lymphocyte development, and apoptosis regulation, and has been flagged in studies of certain leukemias, this reagent is commonly used to profile kinase expression, confirm knockdown or knockout efficiency, and follow signaling changes in immune-cell and neuronal research workflows.

The 100 µl aliquot provides ample volume for multiple western blot experiments at typical working dilutions, and the azide-containing buffer is compatible with refrigerated storage at 4 degrees C between uses. Brief sample preparation with standard lysis buffer, SDS-PAGE separation, and chemiluminescent or colorimetric western blot detection will resolve the target band cleanly when appropriate blocking and antibody dilution conditions are applied.
