Anti-ITPA Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal antiserum recognizes human inosine triphosphate pyrophosphatase (ITPA), a cytosolic enzyme that hydrolyzes ITP and dITP to their monophosphate forms and prevents the accumulation of mutagenic nucleotides in cellular pools. The reagent ships as 100 µl aliquots in a single vial and is validated for both western blot and immunohistochemistry on human specimens, making it useful in studies of nucleotide metabolism, antiviral pharmacology, and investigations into the link between ITPA polymorphisms and ribavirin-induced hemolytic anemia during hepatitis C therapy.

The polyclonal format captures multiple epitopes across the target protein, which is helpful when probing denatured lysates or fixed tissue sections where conformational monoclonal clones may fail.
