Anti-ITIH4 Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain 4 (ITIH4), a liver-derived ~120 kDa glycoprotein involved in extracellular matrix stabilization, hyaluronan metabolism, and the acute-phase inflammatory response. Supplied at 1 mg/ml in 100 µl of phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) with 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative, the antibody is validated for western blot detection of human, mouse, and rat samples. ITIH4 is the most divergent member of the ITIH1–ITIH4 family and lacks a functional bikunin-binding motif, and altered circulating ITIH4 levels have been described as candidate biomarkers in hepatocellular carcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, gastric cancer, and chronic liver disease. The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes, which is useful when probing the cleaved fragments generated during sepsis or tumor progression.
