Anti-ITIH3 Antibody

Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal antiserum, this Antibodies.com reagent specifically recognizes human inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain 3 (ITIH3), a liver-enriched secreted serine protease inhibitor involved in extracellular matrix stabilization and acute-phase inflammation. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid formulation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH approximately 7.2, containing 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative, and is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous ITIH3 in human samples. ITIH3 belongs to the inter-α-trypsin inhibitor family, members of which circulate as covalent complexes with bikunin and contribute to hyaluronic acid-dependent matrix integrity. Researchers studying tumor biology have reported altered ITIH3 expression in several malignancies, including breast and gastric carcinomas, and the same chromosomal region has also been investigated as a candidate susceptibility locus in psychiatric and inflammatory genomics.
