This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets human Integrin beta-7 (ITGB7), the integrin subunit that heterodimerizes with alpha-4 (CD49d) to generate the alpha-4 beta-7 receptor central to lymphocyte trafficking into gut-associated lymphoid tissue. Raised in rabbits and affinity-purified, the antibody is supplied as a 100 ul liquid preparation in a single vial and is optimized for Western blot analysis of cell lysates and immunohistochemistry on human tissue sections, including formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens. Researchers studying mucosal immunity use this reagent to characterize alpha-4 beta-7-expressing T-cell subsets, dissect homing mechanisms relevant to inflammatory bowel disease, and probe the integrin-ligand interactions that drive leukocyte adhesion to MAdCAM-1 on intestinal endothelium. The unconjugated format allows pairing with many different labeled secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent WB or chromogenic IHC detection, so the same lot can be re-deployed across different readout chemistries as experimental needs change. Aliquoting upon first use and storage at -20 degrees C in a frost-free freezer is recommended to preserve performance across multiple experiments, while freshly diluted working solutions are best kept refrigerated and used within a short term. This research use only reagent is intended for laboratory investigation of ITGB7 expression in human tissue samples and is not validated for clinical diagnostic applications.
