The ITGB1 antibody distributed by Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against Integrin subunit beta 1 (also called CD29), a transmembrane glycoprotein that heterodimerizes with multiple alpha integrin chains to mediate cell–matrix adhesion and bidirectional outside-in and inside-out signaling. Affinity purified from rabbit serum and supplied unconjugated, this primary antibody binds the human ITGB1 protein and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on cultured cells, frozen sections, and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues.

Each vial contains 100 µl of liquid antibody, with routine applications including immunoblotting of cell lysates to resolve the mature integrin band, immunoprecipitation of focal adhesion complexes, and chromogenic or fluorescent staining of tissue microarrays. Investigators studying focal adhesion kinase signaling, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, cancer cell invasion, or fibronectin–integrin biology frequently use this reagent to profile adhesion-dependent phenotypes in epithelial, fibroblast, and tumor-derived cell models.

For handling, aliquot the antibody upon first thaw to minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store the working aliquots at -20 °C; the stock remains stable under those conditions for extended use. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes across the extracellular and cytoplasmic domains of ITGB1, which is helpful when probing splice variants, proteolytic fragments, or post-translationally modified forms of the receptor.
