Anti-ITGAX Antibody

This Antibodies.com primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against ITGAX (CD11c). Provided as an unconjugated IgG, it has been validated for use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples.

ITGAX/CD11c belongs to the leukointegrin family and shares a common beta subunit with other leukocyte adhesion molecules — CD11a (LFA-1), CD11b (MAC-1) and CD11d (ITGAD) — while possessing a distinct alpha chain. The protein is prominently expressed on the plasma membranes of monocytes, tissue macrophages, NK cells, and most dendritic cells, with lower levels seen on neutrophils. CD11c has been reported to participate in phagocytosis, cell migration, cytokine production by monocytes/macrophages, and the induction of T-cell proliferation by Langerhans cells.
