Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody recognizes the ITGA2B integrin subunit, also referred to as CD41 or GPIIb, a calcium-dependent transmembrane glycoprotein that pairs with ITGB3 to assemble the platelet fibrinogen receptor central to thrombus formation. The reagent is validated by Antibodies.com for Western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples.

Shipped as a 100 µl liquid aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the antibody is supplied ready to dilute into standard blotting workflows. The target's expression on megakaryocytes and platelets supports research into platelet biogenesis, integrin signaling, Glanzmann thrombasthenia models, and cardiovascular pathways involving aggregation. Sodium azide serves as a preservative; refrigerate upon receipt and avoid freezing to preserve binding activity.
