ISCU (Iron-Sulfur Cluster Assembly Enzyme) is a mitochondrial scaffold protein required for the biogenesis of iron-sulfur (Fe-S) clusters, which act as prosthetic groups for enzymes of the electron transport chain and several DNA repair pathways. Produced by Antibodies.com as part of their Primary Antibodies portfolio, this rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes both human and mouse ISCU and is validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous target.

The antibody is supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG in a liquid vial, ready to be diluted into standard immunoblotting buffers. Typical research applications include studies of mitochondrial Fe-S assembly, the molecular basis of myopathy with exercise intolerance linked to ISCU splice mutations, and investigations of oxidative metabolism in skeletal muscle and neural tissue. For best results, store the vial at -20 °C and keep working aliquots refrigerated; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.

The polyclonal antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit serum and screened against human and mouse cell lysates, supporting reproducible detection across both species in standard sample preparations for cell biology and mitochondrial research.
