Anti-IRS-1 (Phospho-Ser794) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against IRS-1 (Insulin Receptor Substrate 1) when phosphorylated at serine 794. The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) applications, and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthesized peptide derived from human IRS-1 around the phosphorylation site of S794, and the antibody detects endogenous levels of IRS-1 protein only when phosphorylated at S794. It is supplied at 1 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide, 0.5% BSA, and 50% glycerol, and has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen. The isotype is IgG.

For handling, the antibody is shipped at 4°C. Upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
