Anti-IRS-1 (phospho-S794) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets IRS-1 phosphorylated at Serine 794 and is validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC). The unconjugated reagent is raised in rabbit and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples. It was generated against a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human IRS-1 around the Serine 794 phosphorylation site, and specifically detects endogenous levels of IRS-1 only when phosphorylated at this residue. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, with purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. Reported molecular weight of the target is approximately 132 and 180 kDa.
