Anti-IRS-1 (phospho-S612) Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against IRS-1 phosphorylated at Serine 612, and is intended for use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications. It is unconjugated and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human IRS-1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 612. The antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of IRS-1 protein only when phosphorylated at Ser612, recognising bands at approximately 132 and 180 kDa. It was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, with purity greater than 95% as assessed by SDS-PAGE.

The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.
