Anti-IRS-1 (Ab-639) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes the Insulin Receptor Substrate 1 (IRS-1) protein at the epitope surrounding residue 639. The antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 637–641 (P-K-S-V-S) of human IRS-1 and was subsequently purified by affinity chromatography on an epitope-specific peptide column, enabling selective detection of endogenous total IRS-1 (predicted molecular weight approximately 180 kDa). Supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume of phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, the preparation is unconjugated and is shipped at 4 °C; aliquots should be stored at –20 °C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
