IRF9 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 9), also called ISGF3γ or p48, is a transcription factor central to type I interferon signaling. After IFN-α/β stimulation, IRF9 assembles with phosphorylated STAT1 and STAT2 to form the ISGF3 complex, which translocates to the nucleus and activates ISRE-driven gene expression involved in antiviral defense and innate immunity. This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes human IRF9 and is supplied as an unconjugated 200 µl volume suitable for western blot detection of the endogenous protein in human cell lysates.

The unconjugated format means the primary can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies chosen by the researcher, while the polyclonal nature allows recognition of multiple epitopes across the IRF9 sequence for stronger signal on immunoblots. Because IRF9 sits at the junction of JAK-STAT signaling and the cellular response to viral infection, this reagent is useful for tracking pathway activation, comparing expression across treated versus untreated samples, and probing the molecular basis of interferon-driven phenotypes in disease models.

For best stability, aliquot upon arrival and store refrigerated; protect from light if any downstream fluorescent detection is planned. Intended for research use only.
