The Antibodies.com Anti-IRF3 polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against human interferon regulatory factor 3, supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows.

IRF3 functions as a central transcriptional regulator of the type I interferon antiviral response. Following activation of cytoplasmic pattern-recognition receptors such as RIG-I, MDA5, and cGAS, IRF3 is phosphorylated by TBK1 and IKKε, dimerizes, and translocates into the nucleus where it drives expression of IFN-β and downstream interferon-stimulated genes. Investigators apply this antibody to map viral sensing pathways, characterize innate immune signaling through RIG-I/MDA5 and cGAS-STING cascades, profile patient samples for innate immune defects, and explore IRF3-dependent tumor suppression mechanisms in cancer models.

The antibody detects human IRF3 in immunoblotted whole-cell lysates, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections by IHC, and fixed cultured cells by IF imaging. For long-term stability, aliquot the antiserum and store at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles; for active use over one to two weeks, refrigeration at 4 °C is acceptable.
