Raised in rabbits and purified as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this primary antibody recognizes the p40 subunit shared between human Interleukin-12 and Interleukin-23. Distributed by Antibodies.com at 100 µg per vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human tissue and cell samples, making it useful for studies of Th1/Th17 lineage commitment, cytokine receptor signaling, and inflammatory disease models.
Researchers apply it to investigate macrophage and dendritic cell activation, granuloma formation, and host defense against intracellular pathogens. The lyophilized preparation is reconstituted with sterile water or buffer before dilution, and aliquots should be frozen at -20 °C for long-term storage, with working dilutions kept refrigerated and protected from light; repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve binding activity. Intended for research use only, this polyclonal reagent is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
