Anti-Integrin β3 Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antiserum from Antibodies.com raised against Integrin β3 (also known as CD61 or ITGB3), the β-subunit shared by the vitronectin receptor αvβ3 and the platelet fibrinogen receptor αIIbβ3. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 100 µl vial and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA detection in human, mouse, and rat samples.

Integrin β3 mediates cell adhesion to extracellular matrix ligands containing an RGD motif and drives outside-in signalling through focal adhesion kinase, Src family kinases, and downstream PI3K/Akt pathways. The reagent is commonly used to map αvβ3 expression on endothelial cells and tumour vasculature, to study platelet aggregation and Glanzmann thrombasthenia-related mutations, and to investigate osteoclast attachment and bone resorption in skeletal biology. For handling, refrigerate the vial, aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from prolonged light exposure when in use.
