Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets Integrin β1 (also known as CD29) and is supplied as a 50 µl liquid formulation at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. The reagent was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen — a synthetic peptide derived from human Integrin β1 around the non-phosphorylation site of threonine 788 — and is provided in an unconjugated form, leaving the choice of secondary label open to the end user. Validated primary applications are Western blot (WB) and ELISA, and the polyclonal pool is reported to detect endogenous levels of Integrin β1 in samples from human, mouse and rat origin. Because the host species is rabbit and the clonality is polyclonal, the reagent is a heterogeneous mixture of anti-Integrin β1 immunoglobulins rather than a defined monoclonal. For handling and storage, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and, upon receipt, should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity and reagent integrity. The product is offered under the Antibodies.com catalogue within the Primary Antibodies category and is intended for research use only.
