The αV integrin subunit, encoded by the ITGAV gene, is a cell-surface adhesion receptor that heterodimerizes with several β subunits (β1, β3, β5, β6, β8) to form receptors such as αVβ3 and αVβ5. These heterodimers bind RGD-containing extracellular matrix ligands including vitronectin, fibronectin, and tenascin-C, and they mediate biological functions spanning angiogenesis, osteoclast-driven bone resorption, cell migration, and tumor invasion. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against Integrin αV and cross-reacts with both the human and mouse orthologs, supporting translational research across model systems. It is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows, making it a flexible reagent for studies of vascular remodeling, cancer cell adhesion, and integrin signaling pathways. The product is supplied as a 100 µl vial of polyclonal serum, unconjugated to allow free choice of secondary label or direct use in custom detection assays.
