The Integrin β4 subunit forms the α6β4 heterodimer, a laminin-332 receptor that anchors epithelial cells to the basement membrane through hemidesmosomes. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial that can be used directly or diluted into standard assay buffers.
Validation has been demonstrated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of epithelial adhesion, skin biology, and tumor cell invasion in which α6β4 signaling is implicated. Researchers investigating junctional epidermolysis bullosa, squamous carcinoma progression, or laminin receptor dynamics can apply this polyclonal reagent to detect the full-length β4 cytoplasmic domain in cell lysates and tissue sections.
The glycerol-containing formulation remains liquid at -20 °C, eliminating freeze-thaw damage to antibody activity and simplifying aliquoting for long-term storage.
