Raised in rabbit against a synthetic phosphopeptide centered on tyrosine 1345 of the human insulin receptor β-subunit, this affinity-purified polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com reports the kinase-activation-loop autophosphorylation event that follows insulin binding. Because Y1345 sits within the activation loop rather than the juxtamembrane NPEY960 motif, signal intensity reflects catalytic activation of the receptor itself, providing a cleaner readout of acute insulin stimulation than antibodies directed against downstream substrates such as IRS-1.

Validated for western blot in human, mouse, and rat samples, the unconjugated antibody resolves the mature β-subunit at approximately 95 kDa, well separated from cross-reactive IGF-1 receptor background on standard SDS-PAGE gels. Supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot, the reagent should be aliquoted on arrival to limit repeated freeze-thaw exposure that erodes phospho-epitope recognition. Store frozen and protect from light during working-dilution handling. For research use only.

Applications: WB. Host: rabbit. Clonality: polyclonal. Isotype: IgG. Conjugate: unconjugated. Reactivity: human, mouse, rat.
