A rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS, also designated NOS2), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 50 µl vial. iNOS is a calcium-independent isoform that catalyzes the production of nitric oxide from L-arginine in response to inflammatory cytokines, bacterial lipopolysaccharide, and other immune stimuli, and is studied in contexts ranging from macrophage polarization and septic shock to tumor microenvironment biology and neuroinflammation.

The antibody is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples, making it suitable for probing iNOS expression in cell lysates, paraffin or frozen tissue sections, and cultured cells. Researchers commonly apply it to characterize M1 versus M2 macrophage phenotypes, to track glial activation in models of neurodegeneration, and to examine NOS2 induction in response to IFN-γ, TNF-α, or pathogen-associated molecular patterns.

Storage is recommended at -20°C in small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the reagent is supplied without a fluorophore or enzyme label, allowing flexible pairing with secondary antibodies of the researcher's choice. Each vial provides enough material for multiple probing experiments when used at standard working dilutions.
