Polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit against the inhibin beta-C subunit, supplied as an unconjugated reagent at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The 100 µl vial is sized for small-scale western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows, and the antibody has been validated for detection of endogenous inhibin beta-C in human and mouse samples. The inhibin beta-C subunit belongs to the activin/inhibin branch of the TGF-beta superfamily and is most strongly expressed in hepatic tissue, where the reagent is commonly used to map subunit-specific distribution by immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed sections. INHBC contributes to the formation of activin beta-C homodimers and heterodimers with related subunits, providing a useful probe for dissecting subunit composition within activin/inhibin signalling networks. The 50% glycerol vehicle keeps the antibody liquid at -20°C for long-term frozen storage, and the product should be protected from light and handled on ice during use. The unconjugated format leaves secondary reagent choice open, allowing pairing with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated detection reagents as required by the downstream assay.
