Produced in rabbits and offered by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal reagent recognizes the inhibin alpha (INHA) subunit, a secreted glycoprotein in the TGF-β superfamily that heterodimerizes with βA or βB partners to form inhibin A and inhibin B. These gonadal peptide hormones suppress pituitary follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion through action on gonadotrophs, positioning INHA at a regulatory node within the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.

Each vial contains 100 µl of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) supplemented with 0.05% sodium azide, adjusted to approximately pH 7.6. Western blot (WB) is the validated application, and reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers working with granulosa cell models, gonadal tissue lysates, adrenocortical tumor samples, or pituitary explants can use the reagent to follow mature α-subunit expression as well as the pro-αC precursor that arises from differential processing of the inhibin α precursor.

For handling, aliquot the reagent upon arrival to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated. Sodium azide is present as a microbial preservative, so apply standard laboratory precautions for azide-containing solutions during downstream workflows.
